The stilt houses of Dong Huong stilts create a poetic scene for the village.
The looming rows of long-standing stilt houses are green fields, the sound of giant waterwheels, blending with the sound of 'Tinh' gourd lute of the Tay women, all creating the unique identity of Dong Huong village.
Ta Quang Ung - an heir to 50-year-old stilt house left by his grandfather shared that, his house are designed according to the Tay people’s cultural identity with 5 compartments. In the house, his family has owned many familiar items formerly of the Tay people such as oil lamp, millstone, and mortars, etc. He always teaches his children and grandchildren to preserve this place.
Talking about Dong Huong village, Nong Thi Huong said that people in the village are very united and friendly. According to custom, whenever a family has a big event such as wedding, funeral, or full moon ceremony, all people in the village comes and help the owner.

Besides, the scenery in Dong Huong impresses many visitors. The village is surrounded by undulating mountains, winding streams and waterwheels rotating day and night that carry water to irrigate cornfields and green rice fields.
In particular, the Tay people in Dong Huong always keep their traditional costumes and customs. It is the custom of enjoying a meal together on the hill during the Thanh Minh New Year, erecting a Neu tree in front of their house to mark the New Year's day, tying a red thread in the ceremony of praying for peace, singing Then, playing the Tinh gourd lute, and beating pam during holidays.
All creates a unique and impressive beauty of Dong Huong village.
