Realising that the live of many members in the commune is still difficult, Ms. Trieu Thi Khe, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Son Phu Commune has mobilised women in 8 hamlets of the commune to collect and sell plastic waste to buy face masks for local people.

Immediately after the movement was launched, the association collected over 250kg of plastic waste, equivalent to VND6.5 million. Therefore, the association bought over 200 boxes of face masks to distribute to households in the commune.
