Issuing social media code of conduct

TQO - The Ministry of Information and Communications has issued a social media code of conduct.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Information and Communications proposes four general rules of conduct: Complying with the Law; Safety; Information Security and Responsibility.

The main purpose of this code is to create healthy conditions for social networks in Vietnam, ensuring personal freedom, business freedom, and non-discrimination of domestic and foreign service providers in accordance with standards, practices and international treaties that Vietnam has participated in.

The code of conduct on social networks is only advisory and recommended, but when violations of the law occur, violating organizations and individuals will be handled according to the provisions of law.

Therefore, besides sanctions, the most important thing is still the awareness of social network users. To avoid unfortunate incidents, social network users need to like and share information responsibly.
