Ao Dai has become a typical cultural product imbued with Vietnamese national identity. Therefore, Ao Dai Week was launched by the Vietnam Women's Union on the occasion of the 1984 anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising and the 114th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising. International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2024) has been actively responded to by associations across the country with many practical, useful and meaningful activities.
In Tuyen Quang, activities to respond to Ao Dai Week are taking place vibrantly with many rich, practical and meaningful activities. It was a folk dance performance program of all levels of Tuyen Quang city's women's union at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, in which ao dai was the main theme, creating a great influence. The event aims to arouse love, pride, and responsibility to preserve and promote the value of Ao Dai heritage in the community.
More creatively, some associations have chosen traditional costumes of some ethnic groups such as Tay, Dao, and Mong to combine performances during Ao Dai week.
