The provincial transport network has been gradually completed, boosting economic connectivity in the region. Many bridges and national highways, along with provincial, district and urban roads, have been built, repaired and upgraded, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development in the new period.
A section of Ho Chi Minh Trail in Phu Thinh Commune, Yen Son District, contributes to promoting regional economic development.
Over the past five years, the province has upgraded a number of provincial roads into national highways, including National Highways No.280, No.3B and No.2D. The Binh Ca and Tinh Huc bridges crossing the Lo River in Tuyen Quang City have been built to connect with the National Highways No.37, No.2 and the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
Tuyen Quang authorities are now completing the procedures for the construction of Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway, which links with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, and a double road from the centre of Tuyen Quang City to the public amusement park and resort area.
The province has also paid great attention to building rural transportation systems. To date, 98% of roads connecting district centres with the communes have been asphalted or concreted.
