Mr. Hoang Van Tai maintains the captive buffalo breeding model.
Ban Khe Hamlet has 119 households with 629 people and 100% of poor and near-poor households. The economy of local people in there has always faced many difficulties. Therefore, Mr. Tai decided to coordinate with the local authorities to support fertilizer for households.
By the end of 2020, 100% households in Ban Khe Hamlet were supported fertilizer by him. They planted 100% of 25.5 hectares of rice land, the yield was 55.8 quintals per ha, and the output was 142.2 tonnes.
Over the years, his family is one of the households that actively change the structure of crops and livestock. Besides growing rice and planting forests, his family raises herds of black pigs and buffaloes. Every year, after deducting all expenses, his family's model gives an income of over VND100 million.
In addition, he also contributed to building the solidarity among three ethnic groups of Tay, Dao and Mong. He closely coorperated with the commune authorities and the functional forces to regularly get up to speed on the thoughts of the Mong people under the illegal organisation Duong Van Minh. He also mobilised and communicated the Mong households to strictly observe the Party's guidelines and State's policies and laws.
