The inter-commune and inter-village routes in Thai Binh have been upgraded to meet local people’s current travel and goods transport needs. Investment has also been made in schools, healthcare facilities and rural markets.
Local people develop their economy from raising honey bees in Hamlet 9, Thai Binh Commune, Yen Son District.
The households leading in economic development and practicing the rural civilized lifestyle have now been replicated in 9/9 hamlets. A lot of families have developed pig farms at a scale of over 100 pigs per litter along with growing fruits to earn more than VND500 million in profit.
There are over 100 husbandry models combined with fruit tree planting, honey bee keeping, and afforestation in the area. The average income in the commune is over VND39 million per person each year. The commune has only 8 households receiving financial allowance and 47 near-poor households.
In February, Thai Binh was one of five communes recognized as a new rural area by the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee. It was considered as a prerequisite for the commune to continue in its efforts to be an exemplary new rural area by the end of 2020.
