In order to boost agricultural production, especially the winter crop, the commune’s authorities have communicated and mobilsed locals to proactively transform to an appropriate crop structure. Cucumber was one of the key crops selected.

Currently, the commune has expanded nearly 7 hectares of cucumber growing areas, notably in Thia, Tan Lap, and Ca hamlets. The average output of cucumbers is expected to reach 1.5 - 1.8 tonnes /0.036 hectares.

Minh Tam Poultry Breeding Cooperative and An Hoa Agricultural Service Cooperative have also signed a contract on cucumber cultivation and consumption , making the locals feel even more secure.
