Taking ethics and business culture as the core

TQO - Resolution No. 41 of the Politburo on building and promoting the responsibility of the Vietnamese business community in the new period emphasizes that the solution to develop a strong business community, equal to the goals and tasks of national development in the new period, is to take ethics and business culture as the core; raise the awareness and responsibility of business people towards society. This has affirmed that our Party's awareness of the role and responsibility of the Vietnamese business community is increasingly developing.

In fact, the business community not only affirms its name through its leadership capacity, operating and developing businesses, increasing the State budget revenue, creating a good image and brand for the country, but many business people also affirm their high responsibility to the community through working with the State to undertake social security programs, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and care for the material and spiritual lives of the people and workers. That is ethics, a business culture with a very unique Vietnamese identity.

However, the social responsibility of the Vietnamese business community in the spirit of Resolution No. 41 is not only the implementation of social security programs but also the social responsibility in providing products and services that ensure quality, maintain the reputation and brand of the business, focus on environmental protection, participate in patriotic emulation movements; build harmonious and progressive labor relations in the business.

The business community is considered the center of the business community to carry out social responsibility, because they are the leadership team, managing and operating the business. Therefore, it is necessary to realize that the implementation of social responsibility of business people is the measure, the criterion to look at ethics and culture in business. Social responsibility is not only mandatory but also needs to be carried out proactively and voluntarily.

At the same time, it is necessary to consider that the implementation of social responsibility of entrepreneurs is not an expense but an investment opportunity to build the brand, reputation of the enterprise, and build the image of Vietnamese entrepreneurs. When promoting ethics and culture in business as the core, the implementation of social responsibility of the business team will be concretized into activities and programs associated with the production and business process, building the brand of each enterprise.
