Tran Van Thinh, Director of Hung Thinh Cooperative in Cay Co Hamlet, Son Nam Commune, Son Duong District shared his  experience in growing red flesh dragon fruit for young union members.

In May 2021, Thinh established Hung Thinh Cooperative with 7 members to develop the model of red flesh dragon fruit.

Now, the cooperative's area of red flesh dragon fruit is over 13 hectares. The average output is from 10 tonnes to 15 tonnes per hectare, generating over VND2 billion each year.

The cooperative members strictly follow the process of planting and caring for red flesh dragon fruit trees according to VietGAP method without stimulants, preservatives and chemicals.

In particularly, the cooperative always tries to maintain stable output for red flesh dragon fruit products and create jobs for local workers.

In July, 2021, the red flesh dragon fruit of Hung Thinh Cooperative was certified as 3-star OCOP product by the Provincial People's Committee.

In coming time, Hung Thinh Cooperative will coordinate with An Quang Cooperative in Son Duong Town to create products such as dried red flesh dragon fruit; dragon fruit syrup, dragon fruit wine to meet the needs of consumers both inside and outside the province.
