Accordingly, the geographical indication area includes the communes of Sinh Long, Thuong Nong, Thuong Giap, Hong Thai, Khau Tinh and Son Phu. The organisation managing the geographical indication is the People's Committee of Na Hang District.

With the registration of geographical indication of Na Hang Shan Tuyet tea, this agricultural product is protected, having a basis to handle rights infringement and having the opportunity to increase both import and export output. This is the second agricultural product of Tuyen Quang Province to protected by geographical indication registration following Ham Yen King Orange.
