To develop the local specialty goat herd, the district developed goat farming models in the communes of Tho Binh, Thuong Lam, Khuon Ha, Lang Can, Binh An, Hong Quang, ann Phuc Yen with a total budget of more than VND1 billion during the 2016 -2020 period.
Households participating in this project have been guided with techniques in taking care and disease prevention by specialised agencies in the locality. The project contributes to the development of goat herds while improving the quality of local products and specialty goods.

Since 2017, Tho Binh Agriculture - Forestry Cooperative has built a linkage chain in the supply of breeds and consumption of all products from goats in the area. The cooperative has received many orders from various restaurants in Ham Yen District as well as the provinces of Ninh Binh and Hai Phong.
Currently, the cooperative is building a slaughterhouse to provide consumers both inside and outside the province with products from goats, while coordinating with relevant units to complete procedures for the formation of the "Tho Binh mountainous goat" brand.
In the near future, the district authorities will encourage people to breed towards the development of farms. In addition, the locality will integrate capital sources to invest and support locals in goat farming to ensure product quality and meet consumer demand.
