In early 2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Chiem Hoa district coordinated with CWS organization to transfer Ganoderma mushroom growing technology to Tuan Cuong Agricultural Service Cooperative. In particular, the material for growing mushrooms is replaced from sawdust with acacia tree trunks.

Accordingly, more than 1,000 Ganoderma mushroom embryos grown on acacia tree trunks grew and developed well.

The selling price per kilogram of lingzhi mushrooms, depending on the type, is from VND500,000 to VND1.2 million.

To improve productivity and reduce labor for mushroom growers, Tuan Cuong Agricultural Service Cooperative has invested in machinery to support in the following stages: cutting acacia logs, grinding wood mulch, billet packing machines, bagging mushroom, etc.

Currently, the cooperative is maintaining production of 3 products: oyster mushrooms, straw mushrooms and lingzhi mushrooms. In 2023, is the oyster mushroom products of the cooperative have been recognized as 3-star OCOP products.
