Enhancing digital skills and applying technology to work, production, business and social participation are opening up new opportunities for women in Tuyen Quang to develop their potential and affirm their roles in their families and communities. With initiative and creativity, women from ethnic groups across the province are gradually adapting to the demands of digital transformation, contributing to local socio-economic development.

The province has more than 291,000 members of the Vietnam Women's Union, with women accounting for over 49% of the workforce. Many are proactively applying science and technology to production and business activities. A notable example is Tran Thi Sau, Director of Ngoc Son Forestry and Agriculture Cooperative in Minh Ngoc Commune, who has invested in a modern turmeric starch processing line and developed more than 10 turmeric-based products. The cooperative works with nearly 100 households across a 130-hectare raw material area. Several products have earned three- and four-star OCOP ratings and are exported to Japan and the United States. Listing products on e-commerce platforms has helped expand markets, generating annual revenue of VND 3–5 billion.

Under its breakthrough initiative, “Comprehensive Digital Transformation within Women's Union Organisations, Supporting Women in Enhancing Digital Skills,” the provincial Women's Union has introduced a Digital Competency Framework for Women and stepped up efforts to help members access and use technology. Under the “Digital Literacy for All” movement, all commune- and ward-level Women's Union organisations apply information technology in management and administration. The province has established 125 “Digital Women's Union Organisation” models, alongside “Digital Branch,” “Digital Family” models and clubs promoting mutual support among women in digital transformation.

In Tan An Commune, the “Digital Market – Digital Rural Areas” model helps traders promote products on social media, manage orders and track income and expenses via smartphones, while encouraging cashless payments. In Meo Vac Commune, a Digital Business Women's Group with 33 members supports women working in services, tourism and agriculture in reaching more customers through online platforms.

Alongside digital skills development, the province is focusing on training, professional development and succession planning for female officials. Women account for 39.8% of Party members in the provincial Party Organisation and more than 52% of civil servants and public employees. They also hold 43.55% of seats on the provincial People's Council. The province's 2026–2030 scheme to develop a pool of young officials, women officials and ethnic minority officials links personnel planning with training in management, digital transformation, science, technology and artificial intelligence.

With individual initiative and support from authorities and relevant sectors, women in Tuyen Quang are increasingly mastering technology, expanding career opportunities and taking on leadership and management roles, contributing to the province's sustainable development.
