After the first nine months of 2026, Tuyen Quang’s economy continued to maintain its growth momentum, with GRDP rising 8.04%, up 3.14 percentage points year on year. However, the result remained below the full-year growth scenario of 10.17%, requiring the province to quickly tap into available resources and unlock untapped potential to generate additional output and economic value in the fourth quarter.

In the third quarter alone, GRDP increased 8.77%, the highest rate recorded since the beginning of the year. Industrial production rose 9.01%, with manufacturing and processing increasing 14.02%. Total import-export turnover exceeded US$1.075 billion, up 30.21% year on year. The services sector also continued to perform well, with the province welcoming more than 3.243 million visitors in the first nine months and earning over VND8.984 trillion in tourism revenue.

In the industrial sector, the nine-month industrial production index rose 9.01%, compared with the full-year target of 15.68%. Seven industrial projects were completed and put into operation, while six others reached 90-98% completion. These projects are considered a new source of production capacity that needs to be brought into operation as soon as possible to make a direct contribution to economic growth.

Public investment has also been identified as a key growth driver. As of September 28, disbursement had exceeded VND6.825 trillion, but a large volume of funds remains to be disbursed in the fourth quarter. The province is focusing on removing obstacles related to procedures, site clearance, construction materials and project implementation at key works, including Phase 2 of the Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho Expressway project.

Regarding non-state investment, since the beginning of the year, the province has adjusted investment policies for 38 projects, while 23 projects have been approved and granted investment certificates, with total registered capital exceeding VND14.963 trillion. The province currently has 834 projects with total registered investment capital of more than VND153 trillion, of which 541 are operational. Removing bottlenecks related to land, site clearance, administrative procedures and infrastructure is considered crucial to turning investment capital into production capacity.

The Department of Industry and Trade is reviewing the production capacity of individual businesses, urging projects to begin operations promptly, encouraging enterprises to maximize capacity and expand domestic and export markets. Agriculture, trade, services and tourism are also being called upon to increase value through processing, production-consumption linkages and stronger connections with local specialty products.

The province has asked departments and local authorities to closely monitor each target, project and locality, while emphasizing the responsibility of leaders and resolving bottlenecks decisively. Unlocking resources, increasing output and quickly converting potential into tangible value are seen as key to helping Tuyen Quang accelerate growth and strive to achieve the highest possible socio-economic development targets for 2026.
