The Tay ethnic stilt houses in Tan Lap are often built according to the odd number principle. The houses are made of wood, roofed with thick palm leaves, usually from 3 to 5 rooms, the house has two doors, one main door, one side door and many windows in the front; the stairs to the house must also have 9 steps, etc.

The Tay ethnic stilt houses are not simply for living, they are also a place to express the cultural identity of the lifestyle, customs and practices. In particular, the village still preserves 34 ancient stilt houses that are hundreds of years old.

The strong mark of the ancient village in Tan Lap is also the ancient banyan tree over 300 years old. Tan Trao banyan tree is located right at the beginning of Tan Lap village.

Tan Lap currently has 183 households, with 771 people, 97% of whom are Tay ethnic people. The cultural values ​​in Tan Lap village are not only expressed through the architecture of stilt houses but also through costumes, language, beliefs, and cuisine.

Here, visitors can admire the traditional costumes of the Tay people with sophisticated patterns; experience many activities such as making tea; making traditional dishes such as bamboo rice, five-color sticky rice, ant egg cake, and fern salad; soak your feet in traditional Chinese medicine or swim in the raft, listen to Then singing and Tinh lute playing on Na Nua Lake, reenact traditional folk games of the Tay ethnic group for visitors to participate in.
