By the end of 2017, the volume of container goods through the terminal reached about 59,000 TEUs, up 783% against 2016 and the output of cargo in bulk was more than 3.4 million tons.
The ACS maritime route schedule is India - Malaysia - Singapore - Cai Lan (Quang Ninh) - China - the Republic of Korea, with a frequency of one ship per week and a capacity of over 5,000 TEU ships.
Currently, in the North, Cai Lan is the only port with the water-line depth of -13 meters and the modern equipment system capable of receiving container ships carrying over 5,000 TEUs.
This year, the terminal targets nearly 60,000 TEUs container and 4.3 million of bulk cargo throughput and continues to seek partners to promote its maximum advantage as the deepest port in the region./.
