Upland people in Tuyen Quang prepare agricultural products for Tet

TQO - To prepare agricultural products for the Lunar New Year, businesses, cooperatives and local people in upland districts are focusing on production and actively preparing sources of agricultural products to meet the need of consumers.

Farmers in Tan Thanh Commune (Ham Yen) harvest oranges to supply to market in Central provinces.

Chiem Hoa District is one of the localities having a variety of agricultural products with over 30 items such as Chiem Hoa chicken, field carp fish sauce, gai cake, Yen Lap goat meat, and Hung My buffalo meat, etc. In order to proactively provide source of goods for the upcoming Lunar New Year, the District People's Committee directs the Department of Economy - Infrastructure to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes to prepare products from raw materials and ensure food safety requirements.

These days, the working atmosphere in the vegetable fields in Thanh Long commune (Ham Yen) is bustle because this is the time for farmers focus on preparing vegetables for the 2023 Lunar New Year market.

“Although vegetables and fruits are grown all year round, my family pays special attention to provide vegetables to the market before, during and after Tet," Nguyen Thi Cay in Hung Long Hamlet said.

This is also the time for Ham Yen people to harvest Ham Yen oranges. Many trucks from Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa, and Ho Chi Minh City are full of oranges, rushing back to serve consumers during Tet. Luong Van Nho in Thuoc Ha Hamlet, Tan Thanh Commune shared that to prepare orange for the Lunar New Year, members of his VietGAP orange growing team harvested more than 100 tons of oranges to supply to the market.

With the careful preparation of units, businesses and cooperatives as well as an abundant, stable, high-quality, and reasonable-priced source of goods will contribute to helping people celebrate Tet joyfully.
