Accordingly,  5 communes strive to meet the standards of advanced rural areas, including Yen Nguyen (Chiem Hoa), Kim Quan (Yen Son), Hong Lac and Ninh Lai (Son Duong), Kim Phu (Tuyen Quang City) while 2 communes strive to meet the standard of model rural areas, including My Bang (Yen Son) and Son Nam (Son Duong).
