Since the agricultural land and the environment in Tuyen Quang have not yet faced serious pollution problems within the production process, this has created favourable condition for the province to adopt and convert to organic farming.

Currently, Ham Yen District has a total of 24.2 hectares dedicated to growing organic oranges, most of the growing areas located in Tan Thanh and Nhan Muc communes, and Tan Yen Town. The organic oranges have a richer taste and smell, as well as a longer shelf life, than conventional ones. As a result, Ham Yen Organic Oranges are exclusively distributed to three well-known supermarket chains in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Vung Tau, Da Nang and Hanoi.
Meanwhile, grapefruit products of Phuc Ninh Organic Fruit Cooperative in Yen Son District have also been well consumed at organic food stores in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, and Phu Tho. Locals can earn an average income of VND350 million per crop, an increase of nearly VND80 million compared to commercial production.
To date, several Tuyen Quang agricultural products have affirmed their position in both the domestic and the international market, creating a driving force to promote clean agricultural production and improve local’s incomes.
