Thuong Lam Commune develops various economic sectors

TQO - Thanks to its favourable geographical position, Thuong Lam Commune has further developed its various economic sectors, including trade, service, tourism, handicrafts, agriculture and forestry.

The commune now has 16 production and business facilities operating in the field of handicraft industry, 11 facilities working in tourism and 140 others in trade and services.

The commune’s agricultural sector has developed greatly in recent years. The water surface area of the hydroelectric reservoir has created favourable conditions for local people to promote fish cage farming. The commune currently has nearly 100 fish cages.

OverIn the past five years, 11 homestay facilities have been established in the commune, linking community-based tourism with ecotourism and experiential tourism. The commune attracts more than 20,000 tourists each year.

In the near future, Thuong Lam Commune will continues to mobilise and encourage the local enterprises and people to expand production, business, services and tourism activities to provide visitors with more community-based tourist sites and tours while creating more further jobs employment for the local people.
