The efficiency of raising hemibagrus in pond increases by 24%

TQO - The National Center for Agricultural Extension, the Sub-Department of Livestock, Veterinary and Fisheries has reported the results of the model of raising hemibagrus in ponds under VietGAP standards in association with product consumption.

The fish is raised in clean pond environment, weight reached over 2 kg per fish.

These models are carried out in the pond of the family of Mr. Le Van Sang, in Group 4, Nong Tien Ward, Tuyen Quang City and Mr. Duong The Cong, in village 1 Minh Phu, Yen Phu Commune, Ham Yen District, with a scale of 18,000 m2 and stocking density of 0.43 fish per m2. Food sources for hemibagrus are various fishes combined with homemade food (soybean, rice bran, tapioca, corn).

After more than 1 year, with the safe and disease-free breeding process, the fish grows quickly, adapts to the pond environment. The survival rate when the fish is harvested reaches 80%. The economic efficiency increased by 24% compared to the fish grown outside the model. In particular, the National Center for Agricultural Extension, the Sub-Department of Livestock - Veterinary and Fisheries connects with the chain of clean food stores both outside and inside the province to consume all products.
