Son Duong District has over 1,870 hectares of tea, of which more than 600 hectares of tea are grown under the safe procedures.
Deputy Head of the Division of Agriculture and Rural Development of Son Duong District Nguyen Cong Thanh said that in order to increase the yield, quality and the cost of tea products, over the years, Son Duong District has implemented many mechanisms and policies. The district has also supported tea farmers to renovate tea gardens and instruct them to grow tea under the safe process.
Currently, the rainy and humid weather during many days is the ideal condition for spring tea to sprout and bud. In tea areas in the district such as Vinh Tan (Tan Trao), Cay village (Minh Thanh), Lien Phuong (Phuc Ung), Dong Hoan (Tu Thinh), and Yen Thuong (Trung Yen), the district authority is also directing people to focus on fertilizing, preventing pests and diseases for tea plants, ensuring all the best factors for tea plants to bud and achieve the best quality.
With this positivity, local farmers will have a bountiful tea crop in 2023.
