Farmers in Vinh Quang commune (Chiem Hoa) take care of cucumber areas to supply the Tet market.
According to a report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the province currently has about 8,000 hectares of vegetables and beans of all kinds, with an annual vegetable output of about 96,000 tons, mainly concentrated in the communes of Ninh Lai, Thien Ke (Son Duong); Trung Mon, Chan Son, Hoang Khai (Yen Son); Yen Nguyen, Hoa Phu, Vinh Quang (Chiem Hoa); Nang Kha, Hong Thai (Na Hang), etc.
In key vegetable growing areas, people are actively taking care of vegetables and promoting the planting of cold-loving crops to harvest in time for Tet such as kohlrabi, tomatoes, squash, Japanese squash, pumpkin, chayote, cabbage, etc.
In the coming time, farmers and cooperatives will continue to promote trade promotion activities, promote safe vegetable products to consumers, and at the same time select reputable and good quality units and suppliers of seeds and agricultural materials to better meet the needs of people for safe vegetables, tubers and fruits.
