Production of clean agricultural products

TQO - The desire of clean agriculture production is now becoming a trend of many young people in Tuyen Quang Province.

Command from the heart

With her love for plants and nature as well as the desire of creating clean agricultural products, Hoang Thi Thoa in Y La Ward, Tuyen Quang City established Nui May safe agricultural cooperative in Thai Binh Commune, Yen Son District in March, 2020.

Due to the limitation of arable land, she has cooperated with farmers in communes of Chan Son, Thai Binh (Yen Son district) and Nong Tien Ward (Tuyen Quang City) to raise goats and grow vegetables and fruits according to safe standards.

Her cooperative has also signed consumption contracts to support farmers and provided relevant agricultural products fresh goat meat, fermented goat meat, and smoked goat, meeting the demand of consumers.

"My goal is to make use of everything, even goat manure.", she shared. Accordingly, goat manure are collected by her cooperative, and mixed with poultry and livestock manure. The mixture is incubated for 6 months and treated mold by a centrifugal machine. This manure is mainly used for flowers and bonsai.

In addition, laundry liquid, dishwashing liquid and toothpaste are made from vegetables by Thoa. A large number of clean agricultural products of her cooperative are highly appreciated by consumers at green startup market in Hanoi.

Not a temporary passion

When "One commune, one product" programme was launched across the province at the end of 2019, the couple Nguyen Dinh Tam and Phuc Thi Huong in Tuyen Quang City decided to open an safe agricultural product store to introduce and sell OCOP products both inside and outside the province.

The pig herd of Tam Huong safe agricultural cooperative is raised under organic standards.

Previously, the couple drove car from Son Duong to Lam Binh to order safe products from farmers for selling at every weekend. However, realising that this was not an effective way, they decided to renovate their hilly land in Na Hang District to become a agricultural farm, grazing pigs, chickens and growing vegetables under the organic standards. In January 2021, Tam Huong safe agricultural cooperative was established.

Currently, the cooperative has a total of 300 piglets and 500 chickens. The food of the pig herd mainly includes maize, cassava, banana trees, etc. Besides, three ponds in front of their farm are utilised to raise snails and field carp by them.

Now, young people leaving the city, starting with a dream of producing clean agriculture products in the province is not a rare story. Although facing many difficulties, they are still following their passion and never give up until they achieve their success.
