Preventing counterfeit goods and those violating intellectual property

TQO - To improve effectiveness in preventing and combating counterfeit goods during the Lunar New Year, functional forces focus on implementing anti-counterfeit plans in key areas; Synchronously deploy activities to combat counterfeit goods and those violating intellectual property rights in the e-commerce environment.

From the beginning of the year, the General Department of Market Management (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has inspected and handled about 30 thousand cases related to counterfeit goods, poor quality goods as well as goods that violate intellectual property.

Currently, Vietnam's legal documents and sanctions to handle acts of counterfeiting, imitation goods, and goods infringing intellectual property rights are quite complete; Along with that is the drastic intervention of the authorities.

To combat counterfeit goods, imitation goods, and goods that violate intellectual property rights, consumers need to be more knowledgeable in evaluating and choosing products. For consumers, fighting against counterfeit goods, being more careful when buying, paying attention to the origin of goods. The authorities strengthen market surveillance, inspect production and business establishments to detect and prevent counterfeit and counterfeit goods activities.
