At markets and supermarkets, after the flood and storm, the consequences were overcome, small traders quickly got back to business, meeting people's consumption needs. However, due to the impact of natural disasters, green vegetables doubled in price compared to before. All types of green vegetables doubled in price, from VND5,000 to VND10,000 per bunch. Pork increased slightly; beef and chicken remained the same price as before; only fish due to excess supply because people caught a lot during the recent flood, so very few people bought. Other essential goods did not increase in price, but some items such as candy and soft drinks were discounted according to promotional programs.
Gasoline prices decreased sharply. E5 gasoline decreased by VND1,080/liter, selling price is VND18,890/liter. RON 95 gasoline price decreased by VND1,190/liter, selling price is VND19,630/liter. Diesel price was also adjusted down by VND930/liter, selling price is VND17,160/liter.
The provincial authorities have inspected the market price situation after the flood and storm, requesting businesses not to speculate, hoard goods, increase prices suddenly, ensure market price stability, not to affect people's lives.
