Building the brand of Son Phu honey

TQO - The advantage of large-scale natural forests has created favorable conditions for local people in Son Phu Commune (Na Hang District) to develop beekeeping, bringing high economic efficiency.

Son Phu honey products.

Currently, Son Phu commune has nearly 30 households engaged in beekeeping with over 200 colonies, gaining 1,000 - 1,200 liters of honey each year. Beekeeping does not require a lot of investment capital and human resources, but brings a stable source of income.

Along with typical agricultural products of the commune such as Shan Tuyet tea, bamboo shoots, and corn wine, the local authorities have established a beekeeping cooperative group with 12 members, sharing experience in bee caring and harvesting as well as supporting each other in consumption.

Na Hang District is conducting the application for trademark registration of Son Phu honey.

In addition to economic benefits, beekeeping for honey in Son Phu Commune also contributes to protecting the biodiversity of plant species and ecological environment, creating more motivation for Na Hang tourism to develop in the coming time.
