A warm meal at a Boarding School in the border commune of Minh Tan

As a newly built, spacious and modern school in a border commune, Minh Tan Primary and Lower Secondary Boarding School in Minh Tan Commune has entered the 2026–2027 academic year with a total of 1,486 students, including 1,371 boarding students.

To ensure that students are provided with delicious, clean, nutritious and absolutely safe meals, the school has made thorough preparations for the organisation and operation of its collective kitchen, following a one-way food processing procedure with designated areas for receiving, pre-processing and cooking food, serving meals and cleaning up after food preparation. The school’s teachers have also demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, actively participating in meal supervision and accompanying students at every meal to maintain discipline and routines, helping students become attached to the school and regard it as their second home from the very first days of the new academic year.

The food preparation area at Minh Tan Primary and Lower Secondary Boarding School operates under a one-way food processing procedure. More than 30 kitchen staff at the school have all undergone training in food safety and hygiene.

Vi Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Minh Tan Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Minh Tan Commune People’s Committee, directly inspected preparations for students’ meals and supervised the collection of food samples for storage at the school kitchen.

Food sample collection and storage are carried out daily in accordance with regulations.

Meals are portioned carefully and promptly, ensuring that every boarding student receives a hot, appetising and nutritious serving.

After meals, students proactively and voluntarily clear their trays and dishes and place them in the designated area, supporting the kitchen staff in maintaining proper cleaning routines.

Immediately after mealtimes, teachers and students work together to clean the communal dining hall, ensuring that the shared space remains tidy, clean and well organised.
