In Vietnam, many folk games have great potential to attract tourists such as water puppetry, tug of war, wrestling, human chess, buffalo fighting, flag capture. In fact, many folk games have become attractive tourism products at tourist destinations and areas and some folk games have become national intangible cultural heritages such as Tug of War Rituals and Games.

Tuyen Quang has 22 ethnic groups living together with intertwined cultures, traditional folk games are also very diverse and rich such as throwing con, hitting Pam of the Tay people; crossbow shooting, stilt walking, wrestling of the Dao people, etc. Among them, the traditional tug-of-war folk game is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

During traditional festivals of ethnic minorities, the province focuses on organizing many traditional folk games, turning folk games into an activity to attract tourists.

However, folk games are still mainly organized in festivals, performed on stage, and have not been developed into independent tourism products.

Localities need to include folk games in tours and tourist routes; create conditions for tourists to participate in experiencing folk games associated with experiencing traditional crafts and culinary culture; encourage tourist spots and areas to organize a number of unique folk games.
