The program becomes an annual event to renew the region's tourism products, strengthen inter-regional tourism promotion, and promote effective exploitation of the local tourism potential and strengths. As a result, tourism products through Viet Bac heritage regions increasingly affirm their brand not only for the domestic market but also for international visitors.

The main goal of the program is to link and find solutions to effectively exploit the potential and strengths of regional tourism resources; form a system of specific, attractive and branded tourism products and services to attract tourists; contribute to concretizing the vision and development strategy of Vietnam tourism and the Northern midland and mountainous region.

This year, the event "Through the Viet Bac heritage regions" was organized by Tuyen Quang province along with Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2023 with many rich activities and many innovations.
