The ceremony to receive a UNESCO certificate accrediting Practices of Then by Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic minority groups in Vietnam as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
After the Covid-19 epidemic was under control, the delegation of the provincial leaders visited, worked and promoted investment in the countries of Japan, Korea, England, Northern Ireland, Germany, and France. During the year, the Department of Foreign Affairs appraised and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee to allow 15 delegations with 74 provincial civil servants to go abroad.
The special imprints of the provincial leaders' visits and working abroad are the access to investors, seminars with businesses to introduce the province's potentials and advantages for cooperation and development.
In addition, the province also received 84 foreign and international delegations with 466 turns of people. At most, 21 foreign delegations visited, worked, exchanged friendships, attended the ceremony to receive a UNESCO certificate accrediting Practices of Then by Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic minority groups in Vietnam as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity and Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2022. At this event, Tuyen Quang welcomed 25 delegations of embassies from other countries in Vietnam, 2 international organizations and 1 foreign locality, 14 foreign NGOs. The Department of Foreign Affairs also appraised the dossier and submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee to allow 63 foreign delegations with 266 arrivals to work and work in the province to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Tuyen Quang has promoted friendly cooperation at the local level between the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang City and Imsil County, Jeollabuck province, Korea; People's Committee of Na Hang District with Lohmen region, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State, Germany; Tan Trao University and Sakon Nakhon University, Thailand; University of Southeast Philippines; City University of Mabalacat, Philippines, etc.
The province asked the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan to support continuing connection and cooperation between Tuyen Quang Province and Oita Province, Japan; advising on cooperation in sending provincial laborers to work seasonally in localities of Korea (Imsil County, Jeollabuk Province and Anseong City, Gyeonggi Province). The province actively implemented economic diplomacy with partners Australia, Turkey, China, Iran, India and Egypt.
Currently, the province is implementing 2 international agreements and 32 international cooperation documents of agencies, units and localities of the province. In the province, there are 18 FDI projects of 16 foreign investors from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Australia, Samoa, with a total registered investment capital of VND7,123 billion. FDI projects deployed in the province have created jobs for 7,285 workers, contributing to economic restructuring, promoting growth, and improving people's lives. In 2022, in the province, there are 4 programs and projects allocated with foreign capital investment (ODA) plans, the total investment of approved projects is VND1,762 billion.
Tuyen Quang Province and Xieng Khouang Province signed a memorandum of friendship cooperation for the 2021-2015 period.
In the province, 19 programs, projects and non-project aid are being implemented by 13 foreign organizations and donors with a total disbursed aid value of 1 million USD, of which 6 new aid with a total pledged aid value of 900,000 USD.
Tuyen Quang Province and Xieng Khouang Province continued to sign a memorandum of friendship cooperation for the 2021-2015 period in the fields of agriculture and rural development, education and training, investment, trade, culture, and tourism, information and communication.
The strengthening of external cooperation is giving the province a new position, creating an important mark in attracting investment and foreign aid, contributing to improving the quality of infrastructure and human resources.
