PM attends Government Office’s Party Congress

TQO - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his deputies attended the 26th Party Congress of the Government Office’s Party Committee, term 2020-2025, which opened in Hanoi on August 26.

The event gathered 198 Party members from the relevant Party committees and sub-units under the Government Office’s Party Committee, representing all 1,150 members of the entire Party organisation.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh emphasised that, with its important role as the general advisory body directly assisting the Government and the Prime Minister, the Government Office should continue to produce results and fully fulfil the tasks assigned it by the Party, the State and the people.

He urged the office’s staff to fully and deeply grasp the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws, solidifying these into practical goals, tasks and solutions to effectively contribute to national development and defence.

The deputy PM also urged the Party Committee of the Government Office to continue to improve the efficiency of its advisory work, while following the actual socio-economic situation to effectively develop and organise the implementation of its set working agenda, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Government and the PM’s administration.

The office was urged to closely coordinate with other central and local authorities in formulating, promulgating and organising the implementation of operation programmes from the Government and the PM, while continuing to promote IT application, online document processing and e-administration.

It is important to strengthen the capacity of the Government Office’s Party Committee, Deputy PM Binh stressed, adding that performing the Party building task well should be associated with the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, as well as enhancing the responsibility and quality of all cadres.
