They are members of the Tuyen Quang provincial folklorists’ association which comes under the National Association of Vietnamese Folklorists. Their research works have contributed to the preservation and promotion of the folklore values and cultural identities of the province.

The provincial association consists of 11 members, who have implemented a number of projects from 2015 to 2020, including “The worshipping paintings of the Dao ethnic minority people in Tuyen Quang”, “The custom of getting a son-in-law for inheritance of the Tay ethnic minority people in Tuyen Quang”, “Soong co singing of the San Diu ethnic people”, “Then singing with fans in Tuyen Quang”, and “The three-lamp sacrifice ceremony of the Red Dao people in Yen Nguyen Commune, Chiem Hoa District, Tuyen Quang”.
In addition, the provincial association has introduced and selected folk artists who are suitably qualified for the recognition of folk artisans.
The Tuyen Quang provincial association has experts on the folk arts of the Tay, Dao and Kinh ethnic minority groups, while lacking in-depth experts on the Cao Lan, San Diu, Mong, Nung and Pa Then people. The association will continue to create favourable conditions for its members to create many high-quality works of art which are expected to be highly welcomed by the public.
