Yen Son accelerates ginger growing area

TQO - Realizing that growing ginger brings high economic efficiency, some communes in Yen Son are currently expanding the area of ​​ginger growing.

The delegation surveyed and evaluated the ginger area in Nam Bo village, Kien Thiet commune.

The area of ​​ginger in the district is over 64 hectares, mostly in Kien Thiet commune with nearly 23 hectares, Trung Truc with 19.5 hectares, Trung Minh with 6.3 hectares, and Quy Quan with 6 hectares.

The selling price of ginger is at a price of VND1,200 - VND1,500 per kg, contributing to increasing income and improving the lives of the people.

To have a direction for ginger plants, as well as to find a stable output for the product, on October 5, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province allowed the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology - University of Agriculture and Forestry - Thai Nguyen University and Kim-Sonaki Korea Co., Ltd. to coordinate with the People's Committee of Yen Son district, Yen District Farmers' Association to have a direct working session in Kien Thiet commune to learn about the raw material area and quality of ginger.

Through field inspection and sample analysis, the Korean delegation was very satisfied with the quality as well as the farming methods of the people, which are suitable for the requirements of Kim-Sonaki Company Limited.

Currently, Kim-Sonaki Korea Co., Ltd. is in need of importing 5,000 tons of good ginger for processing.
