The custard-apple harvest season in Tan Long

TQO - Five years ago, people in villages 9, 10, and 11 of Tan Long commune (Yen Son) began to plant custard-apple on the alluvial ground instead of low-yielding vegetables.

At the beginning of August is the time for farmers to harvest custard-apple.

Vice Chairwoman of Tan Long Commune People's Committee Hoang Thi Hang, said that in recent years, people in some villages, especially village 10 of Tan Long commune, have boldly changed the structure of crops from low-yield trees to high-quality ones.

Currently, the commune has a total of 20 hectares of custard-apple.

Custard-apple trees are grown on Soi Sinh alluvial, (Tan Long commune) is in the harvest season.

The selling price of this fruit is from VND45,000 – VND50,000 per kg.

In the coming time, Tan Long Commune People's Committee will coordinate with cooperatives and businesses in the province to link and consume products.
