The district’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has proactively coordinated with specialised units and local authorities to support production and business establishments in building the commercial chains of agricultural products. As a result, a number of effective linkage chains have been formed such as Minh Huong gourd duck, green tea, king orange and fattened buffalo.
Accordingly, the Tan Thai Tea 168 Cooperative in Tan Thanh Commune has signed a contract with tea growers in Bat Village to produce tea in accordance with VietGAP standards. The cooperative has actively provided fertilisers and biological products for local tea growers.

The project of developing grapefruit production in association with consumption in Duc Ninh Commune, Ham Yen District, coordinated by Duc Ninh Safe Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative, has gradually developed. Accordingly, the “Duc Ninh grapefruit” brand was formed. The cooperative’s revenue from grapefruit reached more than VND4 billion in 2019, an increase of nearly VND1 billion compared to previous years.
In order to improve the value of agricultural products, Ham Yen District has created many mechanisms to encourage and promote production in chains in the form of consumption contracts among farmers, cooperatives and enterprises.
In addition to the chain-linked projects of tea production cooperatives, the district now has 5 effectively developed chain-linked projects. In 2020, from the fund for new rural construction, Ham Yen District authorities will allocate nearly VND1,5 billion to support linkages between production and consumption in the province.
