Shrimp and fish are dried by machine to ensure hygiene and keep the flavour.
In order to develop this model effectively, the Commune Youth Union has proposed to the Center for Continuing Education Vocational Training of the district to organise training courses for union members in the commune. During 5 days, 12 students were instructed to use the dry machine, and packaging and preliminary processing techniques to keep the product's best flavour.
These dried products are shrimp, hemibagrus, carp, etc. With this drying method, the dired shrimp price is VND1.2 million per kg while the dried fish price is VND800,000 per kg. The Youth Union of the commune has dried and sold nearly 2 quintals of dried shrimp and fish.
In the coming time, the union will boost consumption and dry other products such as bamboo shoots and chili peppers, contributing to the economic development of the locality and increasing income for young people.
