100% of petrol stations apply electronic invoices before March 15, 2025

TQO - The General Department of Taxation has just issued Notice No. 60/TB-TCT dated January 17, 2025, requesting the Tax Departments to complete the target of "by March 2025 at the latest, the number of petrol retail stores applying automatic connection solutions will reach 100% of the total number of retail stores nationwide" as directed by the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 129/CD-TTg.

According to the General Department of Taxation, as of January 15, 2025, the rate of petrol retail stores nationwide implementing automatic connection to issue electronic invoices has reached 60%. Of which, 18/63 tax departments have achieved progress of over 90%.

To ensure that the work is implemented synchronously, the General Department of Taxation requires tax departments to coordinate closely with related units, build an effective working coordination mechanism, and ensure timely information exchange.

The General Department of Taxation requires all provincial and municipal tax departments to ensure that 100% of retail gasoline stores in the area complete automatic connection to issue electronic invoices before March 15, 2025.

The General Department of Taxation recommends that during the implementation process, tax departments need to assess the actual situation of enterprises (finance, infrastructure, characteristics, operating history, etc.), classify and select enterprises with good financial potential and high compliance awareness to implement first.
