Khuoi My’s golden rice season

In Residential Group 12 of Khuoi My, Ha Giang 1 Ward, Tuyen Quang Province, September and October mark the time when ripe rice turns the terraced fields golden. The rice paddies curve around the mountain slopes and traditional houses, creating a landscape that is both majestic and poetic.

Viewed from above, the terraced fields look like golden silk ribbons draped across the mountainsides.

Each rice panicle bends under the weight of ripened grains in the early morning sunlight… The fragrance of rice mingles with the fresh mountain breeze, making visitors slow their steps to savor the simple yet enchanting beauty.

The terraced fields are not only a scenic attraction but also the fruit of generations of hard work, closely associated with the livelihoods and farming practices of the local Dao ethnic community. Khuoi My is currently home to 214 households, all of whom are Dao people.
