According to the Nhu Khe Commune People’s Committee, about 7.4 km of the expressway runs through the commune, affecting approximately 200 households in several villages. The local authority has completed a resettlement area covering nearly 20 hectares and handed over the land to residents to build their homes and gradually stabilize their lives.
An Phu Village currently has 344 households. It was formed through the merger of Cay Sim, Cay Thi, Go Danh and Dong Gian villages, together with parts of Tho An, Cua Lan, Hung Lo and Cay Dua villages. Under the plan, the area is expected to accommodate more than 200 households relocated to make way for the expressway project. So far, 22 households have moved to the new residential area.
The relocation process initially faced difficulties as many families remained deeply attached to their former homes, while the resettlement plots were smaller than their previous land holdings. However, through persistent communication and persuasion by local authorities and grassroots officials, residents gradually reached consensus and agreed to relocate in support of the key infrastructure project.
The family of Vuong Van Phuong from Dong Gian Village was the first to move into the resettlement area. Many other households, including the family of Giang A Hanh from Cay Thi Village, have also completed their new homes. On a plot of more than 200 square meters, Hanh’s family invested around VND430 million to build their new house. After settling in, he plans to seek a job at an industrial park to earn a stable income.

Alongside the joy of having a new home, the establishment of a large village also poses challenges for local administration. Village officials are working to establish orderly routines among residents from different areas while managing population data and updating information on the Viettel Tammi platform amid the ongoing digital transformation.
The An Phu resettlement area is continuing to take shape, with improvements in both its physical infrastructure and community life. To ensure that residents can truly settle down, local authorities will need to continue supporting livelihoods and accompanying households as they gradually build stable and sustainable new lives in their new home.
