Pac Ta Temple.
The temple is a place to worship and commemorate the fiancee of General Tran Nhat Duat. This is one of the remaining vestiges of the second resistance war against Nguyen - Mong in 1285: At that time, the talented general Chieu Van Vuong Tran Nhat Duat defended the land of Tuyen Quang.
Pac Ta Temple is located in a high and flat terrain at the foot of Pac Ta Mountain - the highest mountain in Na Hang District. In the past, the temple was constructed by thatched grass, bamboo and leaves. Therefore, the temple was damaged and collapsed completely. After that, local people built a small bamboo shrine to worship. Pac Ta Temple was rebuilt in 2008. The temple is listed as a National Monument in 2009.
To reach the temple, visitors have to travel by boat, crossing the Na Hang ecological lake, where the Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant is in operation - one of the largest capacity projects in Vietnam with a large lake bed area.
On the occasion of the festivals, people flock to the temple to pray for peace, happiness and prosperity.
With cultural and historical values, Pac Ta Temple is an attractive destination for tourists both inside and outside the province.
