I- General goal
Promote the development of safe, concentrated vegetable production areas, ensuring traceability, associated with processing and consumption markets to meet the needs of vegetable consumption in the province, a part of consumption outside the province and towards to export.
II- Specific goals until 2030
- The entire province's vegetable area reaches over 8,500 hectares, with an output of over 114,000 tons/year; (In which, the area of vegetables for processing, associated with processing facilities is about 350-400 hectares, output is over 22,000 tons)
- Over 95% of vegetable samples inspected and tested meet safety standards.
- The proportion of safe, concentrated, traceable vegetable area accounts for about 30% of the total vegetable growing area in the province.
III- Tasks and solutions
1. About production organization
- Continue to implement policies to attract businesses to invest in building preliminary processing and processing facilities for vegetable products.
- Encourage land consolidation, land exchange, and land accumulation.
- Support cooperative development, improve capacity of cooperative members.
- Application of mechanization.
2. About science and technology
- Invest in preserving and developing indigenous vegetable varieties; Select new vegetable varieties with high yield and quality, resistant to pests and diseases, and adaptable to climate change.
- Strengthen the application of safe vegetable production techniques towards applying high technology and advanced and sustainable farming processes.
- Diversify forms of agricultural extension.
3. About the consumer market
- For the domestic market: Support businesses, cooperatives and households to build brands of safe vegetable products and OCOP products.
- For export markets: Focus on supporting linked regions and granting planting area codes.
4. Regarding state management
- Organize and properly implement related policies: credit; develop cooperation and association in the production and consumption of agricultural products; science and technology transfer, etc.
5. Regarding investment in capacity building and international cooperation
- Diversify investment capital sources to develop vegetable production towards socialization, mainly capital from businesses and people.
- State budget invests and supports the implementation of tasks: Building mechanisms and policies; research and transfer of science and technology; human resource training, etc.
- Strengthen cooperation with countries and international organizations
