Mr. Dinh Trong Vo, Tan Tien village is taking care of his family's red-fleshed dragon fruit garden.
"Chieu Yen people not only grow fruit trees but also raise livestock and poultry. At the same time, they actively apply scientific and technological advances in production. Therefore, productivity and product quality are improved, increasing income for many households" - Mong Thanh Van, Chairman of Chieu Yen Commune People's Committee shared.
Currently, in Chieu Yen commune, 5 cooperatives have been established. The cooperatives maintain their activities, linking up to grow and trade organic oranges and grapefruits; raise buffaloes, cows, pigs, and honey.
In addition, the commune has formed 2 models of production linkage associated with sustainable consumption of key products and 10 comprehensive farms. The commune has 4 OCOP products.
At the same time, with dynamism and initiative, people have expanded fruit gardens with high value such as oranges, dragon fruit, grapefruit, bananas, etc.
The average income per capita in 2023 of the commune reached VND48 million per person per year; the poverty rate decreased to 8.6%.
