National Assembly approves appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers
The 16th National Assembly adopted a resolution approving the Prime Minister’s proposal to appoint six Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2026-2031 term at its plenary meeting on April 8.

Of the six newly appointed Deputy Prime Ministers, Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Ho Quoc Dung were reappointed to the role.
At the same sitting, the parliament also adopted a resolution approving the Prime Minister’s proposal to appoint Ministers and other members of the Government for the 2026-2031 term.
The list is as follows: Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh; Minister of Justice Hoang Thanh Tung; Minister of Finance Ngo Van Tuan; Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung; Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trinh Viet Hung; Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh; Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan; Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son; Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan; Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Nguyen Dinh Khang; Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Pham Duc An; Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate Nguyen Quoc Doan; and Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Dang Xuan Phong.
Earlier, on April 7, Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organisation Commission, was elected as Prime Minister for the 2026-2031 term.
