Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha congratulates health sector on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day

Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee visited and congratulated medical workers at the Department of Health and the Tuyen Quang Provincial General Hospital on the morning of February 25 on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 - 2026).

According to a report by the Department of Health, during the Lunar New Year holiday of 2026, medical facilities across the province maintained 24/7 duty shifts, ensuring adequate conditions for emergency care, medical examination and treatment, and professional support for lower-level health centers. Throughout the holiday period, the sector provided medical services to 5,925 patients, including 2.332 inpatient admissions and 231 surgical operations. Notably, no disease outbreaks were recorded. Hospitals also organized visits and presented thousands of Tet gifts to patients, with special attention given to disadvantaged and policy beneficiary groups, demonstrating the humanitarian spirit and dedication of healthcare workers.

In response to Vietnamese Doctors’Day, the health sector launched a vibrant emulation movement among its officials and employees, promoting solidarity, proactiveness and creativity to effectively fulfill assigned tasks in protecting and improving public health.

In recent years, the staff and doctors of the Tueyn Quang Provincial General Hospital have continuously improved professional quality, actively participated in specialized training courses, and gradually mastered new techniques and advanced technologies. These efforts have contributed to building a team of highly skilled and ethically dedicated medical professionals, meeting the growing demand for healthcare services.

During the visits, Ha acknowledged and commended the health sector’s contributions, extending her best wishes and sincere appreciation to healthcare workers for their unwavering dedication to public health. She urged the sector to continue investing in high-quality human resource training, expand the application of advanced medical techniques, enhance service quality, and develop modern, professional healthcare facilities capable of meeting development requirements in the new period.
