Tuyen Quang, Guangxi Party Leaders hold talks in Nanning

On February 10, in Nanning, Comrade Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, held talks with Comrade Chen Gang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The meeting took place at the Liyuan Villa International Conference Center and was attended by Vietnamese Consul General in Nanning Nguyen Thi Huong, along with senior officials from Tuyen Quang Province.

At the talks, both sides reaffirmed the steady and positive development of Vietnam–China relations under the strategic guidance of the two Parties and States. Guangxi Party Secretary Chen Gang congratulated Hau A Lenh on his re-election to the Party Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, noting that recent high-level exchanges between the two countries’ top leaders have opened up new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

The two leaders agreed to further strengthen friendly exchanges and deepen practical cooperation between Tuyen Quang and Guangxi. Priority areas include trade and investment, agriculture, e-commerce and artificial intelligence. Guangxi expressed its interest in expanding agricultural cooperation, particularly increasing imports of high-quality farm produce from Tuyen Quang. The two sides also discussed enhancing educational collaboration, especially at the high school level, and promoting exchanges of officials and study visits to share governance and development experience.

Border management and security were also high on the agenda. Both sides committed to strictly implementing the three legal documents on the Vietnam–China land border, strengthening coordination in border management and protection, and preventing cross-border crimes such as illegal entry and drug trafficking.

Secretary Hau A Lenh emphasized that the building of a Vietnam–China community with a shared future of strategic significance has created favorable conditions for localities to expand cooperation and mutual understanding. He called for maintaining regular exchanges between Party organizations, sharing experience in Party and political system building, and enhancing training for officials, particularly young cadres.

The two sides also underscored the importance of promoting people-to-people exchanges through cultural, educational and youth activities, especially in border areas. They agreed to expand student exchanges and scholarship programs, contributing to stronger mutual understanding and a solid social foundation for long-term cooperation.

Both leaders expressed confidence that the outcomes of the talks would further deepen ties between Tuyen Quang and Guangxi, contributing to the continued growth of Vietnam–China relations.
