Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Gia Long receives the Chief Representative of GNI in Vietnam

On August 28, Comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Park Dong Chul, Chief Representative of Good Neighbors International (GNI) in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Gia Long briefed the delegation on the results of the merger and the establishment of the newly formed Tuyen Quang province. Following the merger, the province boasts many advantages in terms of transportation, a diverse culture, and numerous attractive tourist destinations. However, Tuyen Quang still has difficult conditions with a high rate of poverty and near-poverty, as well as challenges in healthcare and education.

In recent years, the province has proactively coordinated with international organizations, non-governmental organizations to carry out projects in Tuyen Quang, including GNI, which is also the organization with the longest operating time in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Gia Long expressed his wish that GNI will continue to implement projects across the province, contributing to healthcare, education for children, and capacity improvement of grassroots officials.

In addition, he suggested that GNI expand its investment scale to other communes, especially remote and border areas. Tuyen Quang province will create favorable conditions for GNI and organizations to operate effectively in the region.

On behalf of the delegation, Chief Representative of GNI Park Dong Chul thanked Tuyen Quang province for the warm reception. He emphasized that GNI has received attention and support from the province for a long time. He also affirmed that GNI will continue to implement projects in communes to construct a model for projects in Vietnam.
