Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son inspects investment projects in Ha Giang City

BHG - Recently, Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, paid working visits to inspect the progress of several projects in Ha Giang City.

The projects included the dam project in downtown Ha Giang City, and the Provincial Sports and Culture Complex Project (phase 1).

During the visits, Chairman Son requested relevant departments, branches, and units to closely coordinate to supervise and speed up the construction work, track the projects’ progress to ensure their quality, and promptly remove any difficulties and problems that arise.

If the arising problems go beyond their authority, they should report to the Provincial People's Committee with proposed solutions.

Contractors were directed to enhance their working forces, equipment, and machinery; and increase working shifts in order to speed up the progress of projects.

He also stressed the need to have the contractors sign a commitment to execute and complete the projects on schedule.

The provincial leader ordered contractors to strictly observe regulations on traffic safety, labour safety, and environmental sanitation during the construction of the projects.

He also directed the Ha Giang City authorities to continue to work on site clearance and compensation, review the land fund, and promptly arrange resettlement areas in accordance with the plan for compensation; and keep statistics on households affected by the project in order to put forward timely solutions.
