On August 27, Thanh Thuy Inter-level Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School officially welcomed its first students to the new campus. The spacious and well-equipped school, featuring classrooms, boarding facilities, a dining hall, a multipurpose building and other facilities for teaching, learning and daily activities, brought joy and excitement to both teachers and students.
The first day at school was even more special as students began learning in a clean, beautiful and modern environment. Amid the unfamiliar surroundings, some children were still shy and homesick, with tears welling up as they parted from their parents. This was especially true for first-graders, many of whom were experiencing their first separation from home. Their initial tears were soon eased by the loving embrace and encouragement of teachers, as well as the care and companionship of older students and friends. At the boarding facilities, older students thoughtfully helped younger ones arrange their belongings and become familiar with their rooms, mealtimes and study schedules. They also played and chatted together, helping the younger children overcome their homesickness. From those first days of uncertainty, the students will gradually become more confident and adapt to their new surroundings, learning and growing together under the roof of the boarding school – a place where small childhood dreams begin to take flight.
